OCTOBER – NOVEMBER: Slinky

AUGUST – SETEMBER: Surrender Tokyo Mug
This large 14 oz. mug commemorates the signing of the Instrument of Surrender that ended World War II, which took place on the USS Missouri (BB-63) on Sept. 2, 1945. February 2010 — Surrender Coins

The front side of this unique coin is Japan’s Foreign Minister, Mamoru Shigemitsu, signing the Instrument of Surrender before Allied Forces, which formally ended WWII. Inscribed on the coin is “The Surrender” at the top and “September 2, 1945” at the bottom. The backside is the surrender seal found on the USS Missouri in the location where this signing took place. June 2009 — USS Missouri Panoramic Poster (12 x 36”)
Known as the “Mighty Mo,” the USS Missouri (BB-63) was the last of the great battleships to be completed by the U.S. Navy and received three battle stars during World War II and five during the Korean War. The historic battleship was transferred to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, a Hawai‘i-based non-profit organization, on May 4, 1998. It was gently guided and docked at Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, on June 22 after a 2,300-mile voyage across the Pacific from Bremerton, Washington. April 2009 — “Cooking Under the Guns” Cookbook, $14.95
In spring 1987, the Food Service Divisions and culinary specialists of the Battleship Missouri gathered together their most popular recipes and published the USS Missouri (BB-63) cookbook, “Cooking Under the Guns.”
The USS Missouri Memorial Association is especially pleased to share these favorite recipes of the “chefs” of the Battleship Missouri in this new edition of the original USS Missouri cookbook.
